The launch of the CFR-Ghana Memoirs Project Fund took place in Accra alongside the unveiling of a book titled "Contemporary Issues in Foreign Policy Diplomacy and International Affairs," published by CFR-Ghana. The book, comprising 357 pages and a collection of essays derived from symposia and online webinars hosted by CFR-Ghana, was unveiled by Professor Henrietta Mensa-Bonsu, a Supreme Court Judge.
During the event, Dr. Chinery-Hesse commended the Council for its valuable contribution to scholarship through the involvement of distinguished personalities with expertise in various fields. Referring to a program called "Footprints" hosted by City TV's CEO, Mr. Samuel Atta-Mensah, Dr. Chinery-Hesse expressed her interest in publishing her own memoirs due to the captivating interviews she witnessed. She assured everyone that her memoirs were nearly ready and that she would surprise them in due course.
Dr. Chinery-Hesse made a special plea to the Diplomatic Service of Ghana, expressing her concern that very few distinguished diplomats have published their memoirs despite their vast experiences. She expressed hope that the CFR-Ghana Memoir Project Fund would provide a platform for many more individuals to write and share their memoirs.
