Praising Cecilia Abena Dapaah after resigning indicates Akufo-Addo endorses corruption – Bawah Mogtari

Joyce Bawa Mogtari, the Special Aide to former President John Dramani Mahama, criticized President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for praising Cecilia Abena Dapaah following her resignation as the Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources.

After receiving Cecilia Dapaah's resignation letter, President Akufo-Addo expressed admiration for her loyalty and wished her success in her future endeavors. He regretfully accepted her resignation and commended her dedication to the government's reputation.

In response to the President's letter, Joyce Bawah Mogtari accused him of endorsing corruption within his administration by appreciating the loyalty of a resigned minister who is allegedly involved in corruption.

On the other hand, Franklin Cudjoe, the founder of IMANI Centre for Policy and Education, expressed sadness over the Minister's resignation. He believed that Cecilia Dapaah was one of the more competent ministers in the Akufo-Addo government and regretted her departure due to allegations of questionable wealth. Cudjoe also commented on the overall performance of some ministers in the government, stating that there were few hard-working ones and many who appeared to be accumulating wealth questionably.
